Took Will to karate again today… he had fun, but I couldn’t really hide some disappointment as well… he didn’t try much, didn’t focus at all, didn’t follow anyone’s instructions.
I know he’s only four, but we’re trying to get him to mature a bit… he’s supposed to start school next year, and he’s doing his best… but he just doesn’t seem ready yet. So karate is supposed to be about aiding this sort of maturity, as well as being fun and good exercise. Just have to see how it goes… I might join in too, which should hopefully help.
And now Will’s obsessed with the idea of going to the Pixar studios. He seems them in the Pixar short films menu, and I showed him where the Pixar building is on Google Maps… so now he wants to go 🙂 I mean, I want to go there too, but on several occasions today I had to explain that we’d do it one day, it was a long way away, and it would be a very expensive trip. We even came up with a “seven years from now” thing, as long as he eats all his dinner every night 🙂 Didn’t even work tonight per se, but it’s worth a try.
I mean, I’d love to go to the Bay Area for so many reasons, even aside from Pixar, so hopefully soon enough we will 🙂
