So why am I doing thing blog diary thing?

Good question I guess, since it probably is a given that few people will be reading it right now (that will change of course!)

Maybe it’s a diary for myself. To chart this important stage in my writing evolution. I’m ready to go all out and professional here and I know I am ready to succeed.

I will become a successful writer. A fiction novelist specifically. I am already part of the way to that goal (well most people who try don’t even complete a novel, let alone sell it – so I’m ahead there), but I will go all the way.

I don’t care about the odds, or the chances of success, or the facts of the industry or anything else. It can be done, new writer’s are doing it all the time, and I will be one of them. I don’t have to be a John Grisham level monetary success (though I would definitely not knock that back!) but I will do well enough to make a comfortable living.

It’s a given. I will do it because I say I will. It can be done and it will be done.
