It’s just into November now, and it’s that time of the year again. NaNoWrimo lights up the blogosphere and the social media world with cries of writing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days…
It seems like a lot, and it is. It’s about 1700 words a day, give or take, and unless you don’t work, don’t have a family or do have plenty of free time on your hands, that’s not an easy tasks. Not for 30 days straight. That said, I know there are people who will do it anyway, but again I suppose what sort of thing are they writing?
That said, I salute anyone making the effort, or giving it a go. But as usual, with work, family and that significant other thing I won’t be explaining just yet, there’s no way I can do this… again. I don’t want to put up the badges, or make any public pronouncements that I can’t keep… I just won’t get there.
But that said, I want to try, sort of. If I can get a new project going in the little spare time I have this month and get even 20,000 words done, that will be brilliant. There is something I really see formulating in my mind, and even half a NanoWriMo will work wonders for me.
So that’s about it… effort to be made anyway 🙂
