Well, we all knew it was coming, and I suspect I actually know what Labor’s tactics are about in calling it this early — the earliest since 1943 — but I still worry we will get all the bad and none of the good out of this.
Election campaigns have been getting progressively worse, with manipulative candidates and a painfully insipid media. For me, it’s one side I despise and another I am increasingly disappointed with (though mostly in their lack of courage more than anything else), and the result seems all too clear even though in no sane universe should it get anywhere near that.
I’d love to say I won’t blog about this again, but you know I will. Guaranteed.
