Apart from being Lachie’s birthday today, it’s also a little other thing. I say little but of course it’s one of the most important events in my life — my wedding anniversary.

But when Lachie was born on the same day three years after we were married. the day changed a bit. Lachie will come first on the day for quite a long time to come, and I think Sallie and I live with that just fine. If we can go out to dinner or something similar we’ll usually do it on a different day anyway, and that’s okay with me (sometimes the money situation makes that a better arrangement anyway!)
It is funny though, how these random quirks of dates change things…
